INCIDENT: Assault / False Imprisonment / Robbery
DATE: 09/07/2015
LOCATION: Deep Landing Road, Chestertown (QA) MD
DETAILS: The Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit has been investigating an incident which occurred on September 7th which has resulted in four persons being charged with several felonies.
On September 7th Warren G, Hoyt III visited the residence of Kristie Horne on Deep Landing Road. Hoyt stated he went inside and sat down when Christopher Murray and Jon Roark, fathers of Horne’s two children came from another room and confronted him.
Hoyt stated he was threatened at knife point and refused to allow him to leave while demanding money. The two continued to threaten to kill him, made him disrobe and had him call a family member to request money. Roark is said to have gone to Hoyt’s vehicle dumping out items in the truck, cut the seat and removed the 2016 validation tab. A third male, Marcus L. Dawson arrived and joined in threatening kill Hoyt and demanding he sign the title of the truck to them. At some point they allegedly placed a bag over Hoyt’s head.
At some point another person arrived at the residence, and while the suspects were talking with that person, Hoyt fled the residence, got to his truck and drove off with Murray and Roark chasing him in Murray’s vehicle with Hoyt losing them somewhere near the RT 213 Royal Farm Store.
Interviews resulted in Horne stated she knew Murray & Roark wanted to do something to Hoyt because they don’t want their kids to be around Hoyt’s due to his past.
Murray was interviewed and advised it was a calm conversation with Hoyt and denied taking anything from Hoyt. During a break of the interview, Detective Matthews checked Murray’s BMW car and verified that the validation tab on the license plate was registered to Hoyt’s truck.
