Anne Arundel County law enforcement officials gathered in Pasadena on Wednesday to announce what they called a "historic" drug bust that included the seizure of drugs, money, guns and other assets.
The bust, announced at the Eastern District police station, resulted in eight criminal indictments. Police called it a "multi-million dollar per year sophisticated drug distribution operation."
While police said it is unclear how long the group had been operating, the investigation lasted eight months and included extensive undercover and surveillance work. It resulted in seizures from homes in Glen Burnie, Millersville and Arnold.
Investigators seized more than 3 kilograms of heroin with a street value of $360,000, along with 1.5 kilograms of cocaine with a street value of $150,000, police said. In addition, 394 capsules of heroin were seized with a street value of $3,940.
