Virginia Eastern Shore Keeper

With Accomack projected to increase Chicken House numbers by 100 houses just this year, and Northampton debating zoning changes that would could open the door to poultry expansion it is time for ESVA to sit down and talk chicken.

Citizens from both Northampton and Accomack County will have an opportunity to learn about current poultry operations on the Eastern Shore as well as plans for expansion. We will discuss potential environmental, economic, and public health consequences as well and folks will have an opportunity to ask questions.

This event is free and open to all residents of Virginia's Eastern Shore.

Representatives from Tyson have said they will make themselves available as well.

Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30pm

I don't think we should allow this country's land to become more of a toxic waste dump then it already is just to supply Asian countries with meat. As Trump says they are so much smarter than the US. They won't allow it in their countries but we are. They are sending us cars and electronics and appliances and toys and everything else ans we are sending them meat all to the detriment of our land and the people's health.

You don't want a "conversation", you want control. All you River Peepers are the same...trespassers, whining liberals. Take your agenda and leave us the hell alone!...and take Kathy Phillips with you when you leave!
