ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Police say one man is missing after a 17-foot sailboat sank in the Chesapeake Bay near the Bay Bridge.
Maryland Natural Resources Police spokeswoman Candy Thomson says the boat ran into trouble around noon on Sunday. She says it sank so fast that the two adults and four children on board didn’t have time to put on life jackets.
Thomson says another boater nearby came to their aid and pulled one man and four children from the water. The children range in age from 5 to 13.

17 foot sailboat in the bay? How screwed up is that? Let alone having 5 people on it. Of course we have to get rid of people some how , may as well be stupid people.
That's awful lot of people for a 17 foot boat, especially a 17 foot sailboat.
Six people, two adults and four children.
They should have had their life jackets on the entire time they were out there, on that boat.
Idiot people but not the children. 5 people in that craft is totally stupid. Now if you are a Democrat you will blame it on the boat.
5 people on a 17 foot boat doesn't sound like over capacity. I have an 18 foot Bayliner that is rated for 5 people. I've had it in the bay and as long as you know what you're doing its fine. As for kids, anyone under 16 wears a life jacket
Six people, if you count the children each.
Your Bayliner has an engine to keep the pointy end going in the right direction. Not so on a 17 sailboat, the wind is in charge.
Read the article people!
People just can't read or do math anymore.
