(May 11, 2015) – Ocean City police have arrested a Church Hill man for fleeing from a traffic stop, making several unsafe maneuvers through traffic and colliding with a sedan after traveling through a red traffic light.
On May 9, 2015, at approximately 1:45 p.m. officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a motorcycle traveling southbound on Philadelphia Avenue in the 8th Street area. The driver of the motorcycle, later identified as Kevin R. Joiner, 30, of Church Hill, MD, then fled from police, performing several unsafe lane changes, nearly striking multiple vehicles and making several illegal U-turns and traveling against the flow of traffic on Philadelphia Avenue.
While traveling southbound, Joiner approached the intersection of Philadelphia Avenue and 2nd Street where the light was red. Joiner continued through the intersection when he nearly struck a family of six legally crossing the roadway, before then striking a small sedan and being ejected from his motorcycle. He then attempted to flee on foot but was quickly detained and placed under arrest by police.
Joiner was charged with multiple traffic violations including driving with a suspended and revoked license. He was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner and released after posting $20,000 bond.

I didn't notice a lot of people carrying much in the way of purchased goods from Sunfest so perhaps this individual was just looking for a little more excitement.
