Foster Teen Who Made Adoption Plea at Church Finds His Forever Home

It has been two years since a Florida teen in foster care stood up in front of his church and asked someone to adopt him. Now, he has finally found his forever home – and his adoptive mother has been with him all along.

Back in 2013, Davion Navar Henry Only told his church, “I’ll take anyone. Old or young, dad or mom, black, white, purple – I don’t care. And I would be really appreciative, the best I could be.”

His passionate plea spurred 10,000 calls, and he was placed with a family in Ohio, but it wasn’t a good fit. Then, he turned to his case worker of 10 years, Connie Going, and asked her to adopt him.
