Beaver Run Elementary

The Beaver Run Elementary spring performance took place March 26.

Charles H. Chipman Elementary

The 1st grade classes at Charles H. Chipman Elementary School will present their spring program, "Our Earth," on Monday, May 11 at 6 p.m. The performance will take place on the stage in the cafeteria and admission is free. 410-677-5814

East Salisbury Elementary

The East Salisbury Elementary Strings and Band Program will present a Spring Concert on Monday, May 18. (Concert was rescheduled from April 13.) The 4th and 5th grade string orchestra will perform some traditional favorites and fiddle tunes. The 5th grade band will present traditional music performed by the whole ensemble and by soloists. The North Salisbury Elementary Spring 5th Grade Band Concert will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 12 in the school multipurpose room. Concert theme is “Looking for Adventure,” including “Ritual Dance,” “Lost City,” and a flute ensemble playing “Over the Rainbow.” Free. 410-677-5807

Northwestern Elementary

Northwestern Elementary School's "Evening with the Arts" will be held on Wednesday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m. The evening with feature a recorder performance by 4th grade students, the school-wide digital art show, and a choral presentation by students in grades 3, 4, and 5. Free. 410-677-5808

Pemberton Elementary

The Pemberton Elementary 3rd-5th Grade Chorus will present “The Best Little Theater in Town” and 4th and 5th grade strings and the 4th and 5th grade band will perform at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 19. Chorus students will be presenting a program by Sally Albrecht and Jay Althouse. When James P. Pennypacker (a shady accountant announces that he’ll have to shut down “The Best Little Theater in Town” due to lack of funds, the theater’s owner, Mrs. Goodman, popular director Cecil Deville, and the tightly knit cast go into action! The story unfolds as the small town theater company struggles to make ends meet. We hope you’ll join us to find out, will the show go on?! Westside Primary
Westside Primary School will hold its Spring Program, “Down at the Beach,” on the last day of school for kindergarten students, which is Wednesday, June 17. This program will be in conjunction with our 4th term Kindergarten assembly. Time of the program is to be determined. 410-677-5117



Westside Intermediate

Westside Intermediate 2nd graders presented “How Does YOUR Garden Grow?” April 13, after the PTA meeting.

Willards Elementary

The Wicomico Early Learning Center’s spring concert will take place Monday, May 4 at 6 p.m. in the East Salisbury Elementary gym. The program will showcase the singing and dancing talents of all classes at the Wicomico Early Learning Center. Admission is free. 410-677-5900

Bennett Middle

Bennett Middle School Orchestra students, along with high school orchestra students from Wicomico High School, James M. Bennett High School and Parkside High School, will present a concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 in the James M. Bennett Auditorium. Admission is free. 410-677-5140

The Bennett Middle School 7th and 8th grade Symphonic Band will hold its Spring Concert on Thursday, May 7 at 7 p.m. in the James M. Bennett Auditorium. The concert music will be a variety of full band selections, as well as small ensembles and soloists. Admission is $2 person with children under school age free. 410-677-5140

The Bennett Middle School 6th and 7th Grade Chorus will present a Spring Concert, “As Long as I Have Music,” on at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14 in the James M. Bennett Auditorium. The concert will include Festival music as well as current songs and dances that we love. Tickets will go on sale for $2 in the school office beginning on Monday, May 11 and will continue through the day on May 14. Tickets will also be available at the door. The Bennett Middle 6th grade band/8th grade chorus Spring Concert will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 20 in the James M. Bennett Auditorium. The band portion will feature a variety of concert and modern music as well as small ensemble selections, under the direction of George Ferenz. The chorus, directed by Sharon Cherricks, will perform several choral numbers, solos, and a song that’s a real “Thriller.” Tickets are $2 for chorus and band, children under school age admitted free. James M. Bennett High

The James M. Bennett High School Symphonic and Concert Bands, under the direction of Douglas L. Miles, will present the annual Spring Band Concert on Thursday, April 30 at 7 p.m. in the James M. Bennett Auditorium. Guest conducting the band for two songs will be Dr. Charles F. Smith, Jr. Dr. Smith was Director of the Salisbury Community Band for 35 years, and was the first band director for both James M. Bennett High and Salisbury State College. He has guest conducted several times for the All-Shore Band and other Honors Programs in the tri-state area, and adjudicated numerous band festivals. The concert will feature serious band literature by Brian Balmages, Larry Clark and David Holsinger; as well as lighter selections, including Leroy Anderson’s Clarinet Candy. James M. Bennett High School Orchestra students, along with orchestra students from Bennett Middle School and high school orchestra students from Wicomico High School and Parkside High School, will present a concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 in the James M. Bennett Auditorium. Free. 410-677-5140

The Choral Department of James M. Bennett High School will present its annual Spring Concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12 in the James M. Bennett Auditorium. This year’s event will be special in many ways. The title of the evening is “Sounds of America,” and the entire concert is a certified fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project. Almost everyone knows someone who has been wounded in service to the country, and this concert will provide the opportunity to support the Wounded Warrior Project while enjoying the musical talents of JMB students. The program will feature examples from all genres of American music from pop to jazz, classical to silly, spiritual to patriotic, and folk to rock. As a special recognition, the Concert Choir will pay tribute to our Armed Forces with special guests, a slide presentation and a spectacular version of the Star Spangled Banner. There is no admission as such, but donations will be accept for the Wounded Warrior Project throughout the concert. All donations collected that evening will go exclusively to the Wounded Warrior Project. Open to the public. Please come out and show your support.



Parkside High

Parkside High School Orchestra students, along with orchestra students from Bennett Middle, Wicomico High School and James M. Bennett High School, presented a concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 in the James M. Bennett Auditorium. Admission free. 410-677-5140

The Parkside High School Small Ensembles Concert will take place in the Parkside Auditorium at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7. Small ensembles including Jazz Band, various small chamber groups. Free. 410-677-5161

The Spring Concert of the Parkside High School Symphonic Band and Intermediate Band will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12 in the Parkside Auditorium. Free. 410-677-5161

The Intermediate and Concert Choirs of Parkside High School will present their Spring Concert entitled "Aspects of Love" at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21 in the Parkside auditorium. This concert will celebrate the various aspects of love shared in society: love for yourself, a significant other and humanity. There will not only be the choirs performing, but small groups and solos as well spanning a variety of different styles of music. Some songs include: "I Am a Small Part of the World," "Erev Shel Shoshanim," "Put a Little Love Your Heart," Fix You," "Count on Me," and "Heal the World.” Admission $5 for adults and students 11 and up, $3 for children and students ages 4-10, free for age 3 and below. Wicomico High

The Wicomico High School Jazz, Intermediate, and Symphonic Band will present a Spring Concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7 in the Wicomico High School Auditorium. Admission is $1 to support the Music Department scholarship. 410-677-5146

The Wicomico High School Choral Music Department will present a Spring Concert entitled "Music for the Night" at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14 in the Wicomico High School Auditorium. The concert will feature music from Phantom of the Opera, Sweet Charity, and Love Never Dies, performed by soloists and the Concert and Intermediate Choirs under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Baer. The music department will also honor the seniors and members of select ensembles in the region and state. The WiHi PTA will collect an admission fee of $3 to help fund a PTA Music Scholarship. Visual and Performing Arts Program (VPA)


The Wicomico County Visual and Performing Arts Program music students will present a Spring Recital at 7 p.m. Friday, May 15 at Bethesda United Methodist Church on 406 N. Division St. in Salisbury. Eleven music students will perform vocal and instrumental music from the Baroque period through the modern era. The recital is free and open to the public.
