Philadelphia Finally Releases Results Of Comcast Customer Service Survey; It’s Not Pretty

Earlier this week we told you how the city leadership here in Comcast’s hometown of Philadelphia appeared to be dragging their feet in getting around to releasing the results of 15-month-old survey of city residents about Comcast service , even though the cable company had already been shown the report. Today, the city finally got around to sharing this info with the public and it’s about as unpleasant as you’d expect.
We’re still working our way through the massive 571-page Needs Assessment Report [PDF], but here are some figures that instantly pop out.
• Even though Philadelphia is the place Kabletown calls home (and which Comcast execs apparently actually refer to as “Kabletown”), the consultant who put together the report notes that the customer satisfaction level was the lowest, by as much as 11%, of other Comcast franchise areas studied over the last six years:

They suck! They have a monopoly here is Salisbury. If you want high speed internet or live in an area that won't allow you to have a dish, you are stuck with them. If you have problem with your internet or bill, good luck getting a hold of anyone, but if you want to add programming, you can connect with someone right away! Now that spring is here, I plan to ditch the cable, but keep the internet AND STILL PAY OVER 70 PER MONTH!!! Salisbury and Wicomico really do need some competition in this county. I still believe they must be paying someone in government a kickback to still be here.

And be careful of the ole bait and switch they pull.

The contract is up this year and Comcast does give wicomico kick backs. The board of Ed also gets free connections. We do need a second cable player and you would see rates drop 30%

I talked to Strausburg, the only thing the county cares about is how much franchise fee are they going to get ! They used to call it "Payola"

our phone and cable reception has been horrible for the past 3 mos.
we definitely need competition in our area.

Just about every school system gets some form of basic free cable TV from their local provider, not Internet, just limited TV from an old initiative known as cable in the classroom.

6:58 call and get a service call to your house it's more than likely something you screwed up that goes for the rest of you

They don't care about quality of service anymore it's all about numbers.

Agreed! They absolutely do not care!

My cable has been slower and my phone voice mail has been messed up for months now. They charge enough for cable/phone/internet to have yourself a car payment. I can't wait until the end of the month when I move, and can call them to cancel all of it. I know they will offer me reduced prices, but I'm moving anyway so they had their chance.

I absolutely hate Comcast. I hated them so bad that I turned to DirecTV for TV. Had to keep Comcast for internet. But use Vonage for residual phone. Came out much better and cheaper.
