Romney: Show Minorities What We Offer Them

Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney said that, in 2016, his party's candidates need to do much better than he did at communicating to minority voters what the GOP is offering them.

"I think we have a real difficulty in the party, and myself included, communicating to Hispanic voters and minority voters generally why it is that conservative principles are better for them and their families than those that are being promoted by the liberals, by the Democrats," he told Yahoo's Katie Couric in an interview that went online Thursday.

"That's something I didn't do very effectively," he said, calling it "without question the biggest mistake that I made in the campaign."

The former Massachusetts governor, who challenged President Obama in 2012, said he wants to see the Republican "nominee do a better job communicating to Hispanic voters that we love legal immigration" and want to stop illegal immigration.

"I will be talking to our nominee about the mistakes that I made," he said.

Why would you lie like that in order to get elected? I don't see you out making speeches to Congress or anywhere else against illegal immigration.

Boy, this is RIGHT ON THE MONEY!!
The GOP has been so busy bad-mouthing Obama's policies that they haven't done well showing people what they offer.
This is supposed to be a SALES pitch. Tell the people what you are offering and why it will be a good thing for them and their families.
Get the vision for what life can be like in a restored, revived America and then help them see it.
GET IT DONE this time!

Interesting, but I'm not so sure many in the minority population are interested.
What is it the republics have to offer?
Personal responsibility?
Children being raised by both parents who are positive role models, who value honesty and have ethics including a work ethic?
Lower taxes so people and businesses have more money to spend which helps others be employed so they aren't government dependances?
Romney was right before. There's a segment roughly 47 percent who are happy not being anything more than a slave to government.
