President Barack Obama told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday afternoon that the United States would 'reassess' its relationship with his country after the newly re-elected leader shifted his position on a two-state solution to the conflict with Palestine.
A White House official who spoke to Reuters said the president told Netanyahu 'that we will need to reassess our options following the prime minister's new positions and comments regarding the two-state solution.'
At a briefing with reporters on Friday the president's spokesman made clear that the United States' 'security cooperation' with Israel was not under consideration yet would not say what specific aspect of the relationship was under review.
The cryptic but stern message comes as Republican House Speaker John Boehner plans a trip to Israel at the end of the month. He invited Netanyahu to speak before a joint meeting of Congress on March 3, an appearance that enraged the White House.
Meanwhile in Switzerland, nuclear negotiations with Iran have stalled, The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.
Tehran is demanding an ease-up on economic sanctions ordered by the United Nations as it pledges to downscale its nuclear program. The U.S. has countered that sanctions should stay in place until international observers confirm the country's mullahs are keeping their word.

Obama speaks for himself. Most of informed Americans stand by Israel.
Obama = Treason..
President Obama is wise to reassess the relationship. Israel expects the US to fund and participate in their defense yet when is the last time Israel got in the fight for the US? Not in Afghanistan, not in Iraq and not against ISIS. Nuff said.
Obama is not going to reassess anything, he hates Netanyahu, end of reassessment!
The Muslim lover obama is about to start WWIII before he leaves office, tick tock.
What is the surprise? Islamic faith hates Christians and Jews. Read the Koran. The one Obama requested to be sworn in with. That is an Islamic book not a Christian Bible.
You said it,Christians "and" Jews.Just don't confuse the 2.For some reason they are Gods chosen people,so without asking why I will always back Israel.
