Partial Drawdowns Planned for Coulbourne Mill, Tony Tank and Leonards Mill Ponds

Salisbury, MD – Partial drawdowns are planned for Coulbourne Mill, Tony Tank and Leonards Mill Ponds this winter, providing homeowners along the ponds an opportunity to carry out routine maintenance on their properties and docks.

Drawdown Schedule:

Jan. 2 – Feb. 11 Coulbourne Mill and Tony Tank Ponds
Jan. 5 – Feb. 5 Leonards Mill Pond

The time-frame was selected to avoid interference with fish spawning season. Fishing is prohibited during the scheduled drawdowns.

I remember when we could swim at leonards Mill Pond. It was so fun to go there and swim with all the other families. Its sad that all the ponds are closed to the public. These days we are forced to go to the beach or swim at a public pool.

9:31-That's one reason I like Canada so much. You can't drive for 50 milles in any direction in the summer without encountering a lake with a designated swimming area. Those lakes are interconnected with a constant water flow. Our local lakes are too isolated and became stagnant.
