is it me or am i noticing a trend in the wicomico area of young teens(girls only up to this point) being missing for a day or two and then re-appearing with little to no explanation. i realize that as of this moment this child is still missing and i hope this resolves quickly with no casualties, but am i alone on this?
I too have noticed it why do the parents not know where they are or have a clue and thank God they always appear a few days later. I hope the police do follow up on these cases.
Missing is a misleading term, they are actually run aways and chief duncan't believes posting missing persons and shoplifting arrests is real police work.
I noticed the trend and thought it may have been a gang initiation thing. I have noticed boys and girls as well and they are missing one or two days and then they come back home.
Remember just before the 11:00 news... "Parents, do you know where your children are?" Maybe it's time to remind (or teach) parents again that it's their responsibility to keep tabs on their minor children, i.e., who they are with and where.

Let's recap 9 months later and see how she's doing.
No, you are not alone on this. My hope is also that this child is found unharmed.

This has been trending but it's been boys involved as well. Not so much the police needing to follow up, but certainly social services.
