Maryland Fire, Rescue, & EMS Incidents

For the second time in a week, a man impersonating a police officer has pulled over a female driver over.
The first incident occurred in Salisbury, Maryland on Route 50. The woman was severely beaten and required medical treatment at a trauma center.
The second incident occurred outside DC. The female in this incident was suspicious and requested a uniformed police officer to respond.
Police believe that these incidents are related. Police describe the vehicle as a dark colored unmarked Crown Victoria with lights in the dash driven by an black male in plain clothes.
Our advice:
- First, in Maryland, make sure the lights flashing in the "cop car" are blue, or red and blue. Police in Maryland are the ONLY people allowed to use BLUE lights. If there is no BLUE, DO NOT pull over!
- If you are being pulled over by an unmarked police car, and you are suspicious, turn your flashers on, call 911, and have them verify the authenticity of the police officer. Do not pull over until the officer has been verified.
- If you decide to pull over, LOCK your door, and CRACK your window. Ask for the officer's agency, badge, and if he is not in uniform, and ask that uniformed officer respond.
- Lastly, if the "officer" starts acting oddly when you ask to see his ID -- threatening you, behaving in a non-professional manner, pounding on your door, etc. -- seriously consider putting the car in gear and getting out of there. Tell the "officer" you are uncomfortable and that you will gladly follow him (or be escorted to) to the nearest police station.

First police may be the 'ONLY' ones allowed by law but i have seen them in the grill of fire mens trucks and secondly NO police officer takes kindly to you only cracking your window open they will demand you to lower it and if you don't then you face a charge of not obeying a lawful order...a catch all charge!
This is a great way to get your asses beat by any arresting officer! Don't these advice giving cops watch YouTube?????
Yup! give them the 3 mile chase and just open your window an inch. Then prepare your butt for a good reaming.
Simple. Do not stop for an unmarked car at night!

9 out 0f 10 times if you drive away from a cop they will shoot you.

Those cops would be wrong. Just ask the ACLU. You're only required to roll your window down part way.
My dad was a police officer and he told my mom and us girls. If we did not feel comfortable or was suspicious not to pull over until we got to a lighted place and to only crack the window when approached. They are police officers and they should not get irritated if a woman that is by themselves doesn't put their window all the way down. He was a Chief of Police in one of our towns on Delmarva

He probably an off duty cop just puttin in some O T or undercover gettin some O J T.
He is officially history.
cops are here to help us. A few of them make mistakes. Don't worry about the cops.

Youtube is full of videos of people being shot by police using this advice. If you are being pulled over..call 911 immediately.

You don't just go on a 3 mile chase.
One night I got stopped on Nanticoke Rd, about 20 miles outside of Salisbury, couldn't tell if the car was marked or unmarked, blinded by the headlights and the officer's flash light. The light from his flash light was so bright that I could only see the outline of him. I couldn't see his face or his uniform. I guess he didn't like me driving to a street light before stopping. He really became arrogant when I only cracked my window slightly. I'm an older woman coming home from a meeting so I was dressed professionally and wasn't speeding. I had a head light out because of a deer that ran out in front of me! His behavior was unprofessional.
In Md you can't talk on your phone anymore so how can you call 911? I wouldn't want to get into more trouble for trying to verify if he turns out to be legit
