A Colorado baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple because of religious beliefs has been told by the Civil Rights Commission that he can't discriminate against customers.
The state's commission has told Jack Phillips that his religious objections to same-sex weddings did not trump Colorado's anti-discrimination statues.
The unanimous ruling upheld an administrative law judge's finding in December that Phillips violated civil rights law when he refused an order from a gay couple in 2012, who later sued.

It is HIS shop and HE HAS A RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE!!!!! Omg!! This is outrageous!!! I wouldn't have done it either!!! Keep your Faith and Head up!!!
He should have of just made the cake and made it taste like crap ! Problem solved they wouldn't come back for more business and recommend his business to their gay friends.
Tell the judge that from now on, he must have at least one lgbt on every jury, or the charges must be dropped. Also, each attorney's office must show they employ at least one, or they will not be allowed in the courtroom. His deputies/ bailiffs, and court reporters must also hire accordingly before trial. Also, if he cannot show that at least one person in his genetic lineage is currently a practicing lgbt, then he can't sit on the bench.
After all, we have to be fair about all this.
All the PC crap is taking this country DOWN.
Fly in the ointment if he makes an unsatisfactory cake; they sue him for damages and trash his reputation.
I hope he will get assistance in carrying this further. A bakery is not a public accommodation like a hotel or restaurant. He should be free to turn down business he does not wish to book.
Contractor must build your house? Lawyer must take your case? Accountant must do your bills? Landscaper must cut your grass?
Let's get real.
He could make them a corn and ketchup cake, topped with liver icing; just make it pink. yum, yum..
I'm telling you these gays have a big time screw loose. Anyone with any sense would want to know who doesn't like them so they don't spend their money with them. That would be the prudent thing to do otherwise those who feel so strongly against gays are just going to pee in the cake or some other gross ingredient will end up in it. The last laugh will be on the baker.
