His crime?
Teaching history.
Alan Barron was teaching his eighth-grade class about the history of racial segregation when he showed a video featuring blackface.
The video was historical, showing how white Americans used blackface to mockingly imitate black people as part of a broader social scheme of repression — but a school administrator sitting in on the class found it inappropriate, and Barron was suspended the next day.
He was only a month from retirement, having served 36 years with the school district.

The racist person is the one who suspended him. What a shame our Country has become under the lack of leadership of Obama.
History is just that. It's real and does not change. The reason we keep records of it is to learn from it. Without it. we fall into the same traps over and over. The one who forbade the playing of that film is the criminal here.
I will sign the national petition to give this man a huge break. He was doing his job. I'm so sick of all this PC rantings.
In all of the last 50 years I have never heard so much whining and bitchin from a single race! What a bunch of cry-babies! Poor immigrants come to America, even black ones, Nigerians, and Haitians, and secede attaining the American dream, good education, good job, good life. All because they got off their ass and worked for it. This bunch of lazy whiners want everything given to them and more! I am so sick of this crap, when are we going to stand up and speak the truth about them? Hell, this comment might not get published because it speaks the truth about this race of takers!
