There sure are a lot of "FIRE" calls in the city that day. Not!

I wonder how much it cost tax payers per day to pay for 60 unneeded paid firemen when it would be much easier and much less expensive to recruit and retain good volunteers.

Hiring paid firemen is just like adopting taxes. Once you do you are stuck with it forever.

How much does it cost to fuel and maintain and insure the fire boat? Insurance alone has to be at least $5,000 to $10,000 per year. Has it ever been used?
