Suspended Gilberton Police Chief Mark Kessler Of YouTube Fame Suing To Halt Hearing On His Firing In Scranton

The last time we saw suspended Gilberton Police Chief Mark Kessler, he was fighting for his job during an administrative hearing in the cramped coal-country borough hall that doubles for a sewage treatment plant back in early October.

Then, one of the guns carried into the proceeding by one of Kessler’s Second Amendment supporter-followers hit the floor, and the hearing was quickly adjourned. Even Kessler’s own attorney didn’t feel safe in the cramped venue with many of Kessler’s gun-toting supporters in attendance.

Now Kessler is suing the borough in Schuylkill County Court in an effort to prevent the continued hearing from being reconvened later this month in Scranton. According to TheTimes-Tribune.com, Kessler is asking the court to issue an injunction barring the borough from holding the hearing Jan. 24 at the Lackawanna County Courthouse, alleging Gilberton officials are trying to deny him his rights:
