Incident: Assault / Threat of Arsons
Date of Incident: 10 February 2014
Location: 28000 block of Riverside Drive, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Tyler Andre Gaskins, 20, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 10 February 2014 at 11:20 AM a deputy arrested Tyler Gaskins in connection with an assault that had occurred back in January. In this incident, Gaskins stands accused of engaging in a verbal altercation during which he spit on two other women. Gaskins also allegedly threatened to burn their house down.  Upon arrest Gaskins was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Gaskins in the Detention Center in lieu of $50,000.00 bond.

Incident: Burglary Arrest
Date of Incident: 13 February 2014
Location: 800 block of Booth Street, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Tyree L. Price, 19, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 13 February 2014 at 7:00 PM a deputy arrested Tyree Price in connection with a burglary to an apartment complex laundry room the previous evening. Upon entering the laundry room at that time, the deputy detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana. During the investigation the deputy located an I-Phone and a set of keys that were apparently left behind by the perpetrator. On the key ring was a swipe card to a local fitness facility and the deputy was able to identify the owner of the swipe card as Tyree Price. Additionally upon finding a cell number for Price, the deputy called it and the phone left behind started ringing.  The deputy obtained a warrant for the arrest of Price and upon apprehension he was discovered by the deputy to be in possession of what was identified as marijuana. Upon presentation to the District Court Commissioner, Price was released on $15,000.00 unsecured bond.

Incident: Burglary 2nd Degree
Date of Incident: 14 February 2014
Location: 100 S. Main Street, Hebron, MD
Suspect: William Michael Willey Jr., 37, Mardela Springs, MD
Narrative: On 14 February 2014 at 3:08 AM deputies began an investigation into the burglary of the Hebron Food Rite. Upon arrival the deputies observed that glass had been smashed out of the front door allowing entry into the store. During the investigation surveillance video revealed that the perpetrator went directly to a rear room and removed cash from a storage location. The perpetrator then fled the store taking the same path that he entered with.  The store owner identified the perpetrator on the video as an employee, William Willey. Additionally the store video revealed that Willey was in the store the previous evening wearing the same attire as seen at the time of the burglary and theft.  The Wicomico Bureau of Investigation assisted in this investigation and a detective obtained a warrant for the arrest of Willey before the close of business the same day this crime occurred. Upon arrest Willey was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance the Commissioner detained Willey in the Detention Center without bond.

Incident: Vandalism / Resisting Arrest
Date of Incident: 15 February 2014
Location: 1300 block of Jersey Road, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Melissa Lynette Byrd, 45, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 15 February 2014 at 1:23 AM, a deputy responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the 1300 block of Jersey Road in Salisbury. Upon arrival the deputy learned that during a dispute, Melissa Byrd began breaking a substantial quantity of glass ware and plates that belonged to the male subject that resided there. The deputy attempted to place Byrd under arrest for the property destruction when she made it clear to the deputy that she would not submit. Upon grabbing a hold of Byrd she began to try and pull away from the deputy and physically resist apprehension while yelling that she did not want to be arrested. She decided to submit up realizing that the deputy was getting ready to utilize pepper spray.  Post arrest Byrd was discovered to be in possession of what was identified as crack cocaine and a smoking device.  Upon presentation to the District Court Commissioner Byrd was detained in the Detention Center in lieu of $10,000.00 bond.

Incident: Vandalism / DUI
Date of Incident: 15 February 2014
Location: 7400 block of Fentral Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Kevin Anthony Flamer, 48, Frederica, DE
Narrative: On 15 February 2014 at 11:08 PM a deputy responded to a reported incident in the 7400 block of Fentral Avenue in Salisbury. Upon arrival the deputy met with a female subject who advised that Kevin Flamer was visiting at her residence when an argument ensued. The victim stated that Flamer, who she described as her boyfriend, struck her in the head before intentionally ramming her vehicle in the driveway with his.  The deputy soon located Flamer nearby in the parking lot of a convenience store and discovered that he was under the influence of alcohol. The deputy also discovered that Flamer’s privilege to drive a vehicle had been revoked by the State of Delaware. The deputy placed Flamer under arrest for the damage caused to the victim’s vehicle as well as DUI and Driving Revoked.  Flamer refused to take a breath test upon request.  Upon presentation to the District Court Commissioner Flamer was detained in lieu of $15,000.00 bond.

Incident: Drive Revoked
Date of Incident: 16 February 2014
Location: Jersey Road, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Markeeta L. Waters, 18, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 16 February 2014 at 10:14 AM a deputy observed a subject he recognized as Markeeta Waters operating a motor vehicle on Jersey Road in Salisbury. The deputy was familiar with Waters from previous encounters and was aware that her driving privilege has been revoked by the State of Maryland. Waters attempted to park behind a residence but the deputy was able to confront her.  The deputy placed Waters under arrest and transported her to the Central Booking Unit. Upon presentation to the District Court Commissioner, Waters was released on unsecured bond.

Incident: Wanted Subject
Date of Incident: 16 February 2014
Location: Ocean Gateway at White Lowe Rd, Hebron, MD
Suspect: Michael Scott Parsons, 27, Parsonsburg, MD
Narrative: On 16 February 2014 at 12:23 PM a deputy stopped a vehicle operated by Brian Lekites after the License Plate Reader system alerted that Lekites, the registered owner of the vehicle, was suspended. During the subsequent encounter the deputy conducted an inquiry on the passenger, Michael Parsons, to gauge if he had a valid license to drive the vehicle. The query returned an open warrant for Parsons’ arrest. The warrant was issued back in October 2013 in reference to an alleged theft of tools from the Fruitland Wal-mart.  The deputy placed Parsons under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance the Commissioner released Parsons on Personal Recognizance.  Lekites was released by the deputy on scene upon the issuance of a traffic citation for driving suspended.

Incident: Illegal Weapon Possession
Date of Incident: 14 February 2014
Location: 6000 block of Archie Dennis Rd, Parsonsburg, MD
Suspect: Lynwood J. Halterman, 61, Parsonsburg, MD
Narrative: On 14 February 2014 at 8:28 PM a deputy responded to investigate a disturbance between two individuals in the 6000 block of Archie Dennis Rd. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Lynwood Halterman and another male subject were arguing over a debt between the two of $60.00. During said argument, Halterman stands accused of firing a rifle.  During the ensuing investigation the deputy was able to determine that Halterman was prohibited from possessing a firearm in Maryland due to a previous conviction out of state for a crime of violence.  The deputy arrested Halterman and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Halterman on Personal Recognizance.

Incident: Assault First Degree
Date of Incident: 15 February 2014
Location: 34000 block Ocean City Rd, Pittsville, MD
Suspect: 1. Debra Maust, 46, Pittsville, MD
               2. Joseph Maust, 40, Pittsville, MD
Narrative: On 15 February 2014 at 3:42 PM a deputy responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the 34000 block o Old Ocean City Road in Pittsville. Upon arrival the deputy learned that Joseph and Debra Maust became embroiled in an argument over the location of Debra’s medication when Debra threw a glass candle holder and several picture frames at him before grabbing a knife while threatening to stab him. Debra stated that her behavior was in reaction to Joseph verbally berating her before choking her around the neck. Debra also stated that Joseph began throwing her around their camper and kicked her in the stomach. Debra stated that Joseph then began dragging her around by her hair.  The deputy observed signs of injury to both parties.  Based on the evidence and the couple’s statements, the deputy placed both under arrest. Upon their presentation to the District Court Commissioner, they were both detained on bonds of $15,000.00 each.

Incident: DUI
Date of Incident: 16 February 2014
Location: Beaver Run Drive, Salisbury, MD 
Suspect: Gregory White, 58, Berlin, MD
Narrative: On 16 February 2014 at 5:46 AM a deputy responded to the Beaver Run Sunoco for a reported intoxicated subject. Upon arrival the deputy located an individual later identified as Gregory White of Berlin. The deputy learned that White drove into the parking lot and entered the convenience store at the Sunoco. The deputy learned that upon entering the store White stumbled into a display of wine bottles. The deputy also detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from White and observed that What needed assistance just to walk back outside. The deputy observed that White’s vehicle was left against the curb with the driver’s side door open. The deputy observed that White had blood on his face that was the result of falling on his face in the parking lot.  Because of the witness’ observations and the perceived heavy impairment of White, he was placed under arrest for DUI.  The deputy also discovered that White’s vehicle was unregistered.  White refused to take a breath test upon request. The deputy released White to a family member upon the issuance of citations.

Incident: Theft
Date of Incident: 16 February 2014
Location: 800 block of Lake Street, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Denise Virginia Bolden, 49, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 16 February 2014 at 4:00 PM a deputy arrested Denise Bolden at a residence in the 800 block of Lake Street in connection with a theft that had been reported at the Salisbury Wal-mart. In this incident Bolden stands accused of taking items on two separate occasions through the self-checkout lanes and failing to pay for all her purchases.  Bolden was transported to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Bolden on Personal Recognizance.
Charges: Theft less than $100.00
