17 emergency medical responses, probably half could have taken a taxi to the ER. However, the mentality of the electorate of Salisbury is if you call 911 you will automatically get a hospital bed- WRONG. Joe- since Salisbury bills for EMS service could you or one of the SFD many chiefs advise the readers what percentage of the bills are paid and if not if they are turned over to a collection agency? I know if my bills are in arrears that an agency will be trying to collect or ruin my credit.

I would imagine most would be covered by medicaid.
