Attention anyone who was planning to visit a loved one at Poplar Hill's Family Day tomorrow:
Due to inclement weather, Poplar Hill Pre-Release Unit in Quantico, Maryland has rescheduled its Family Day, originally intended to be held Saturday, Oct. 12.
The Family Day Events are rescheduled for next Saturday, October 19, 2013, from 10 am until 3 pm. All other visits this week will remain on a normal schedule.

Anybody else find "Family Fun Day" at a PRISON a bit...strange? Yes, Poplar Hill is a pre-release unit, but still...it is a prison.
There is killer rock fishing in the river behind Poplar Hill.
