The House voted Friday to keep the government open through mid-December but only if Congress strips funding from ObamaCare.
The vote was 230 to 189, and largely expected.
The Senate, which is in recess until Tuesday, is expected to take up the vote next week. However, it is unlikely it will pass in the Democrat-controlled Senate.

Great start - the House of Representatives did their collective part for fiscal discipline! Now it is the Senate's turn!
Filibuster the legislation that strips out the Obamacare defunding portion! There should be enough votes to pass legislation with the defunding verbiage - if it can come to a vote!

Okay-So now the defund obamacare bill has passed in the House. In light of the AGH official publically saying obamacare is the reason for local layoffs it's time for our local politicians to step up.
This goes esp for the democrats. They need to call Cardin and Milkulski and tell them to vote to defund because it's hurting our economy.
Time for all of them (local dem politicians) to gets their heads out of omalley butt and start worrying about those they represent.
This goes for all our state reps and local dem reps. Call Cardin and Mikulski and urge them to vote to defund immediately and then report to the media that you have done so.
Thank God for the House!!!
Good job guys...expect fall out from the OBAMA-KNIGHTS...
I would like to know who voted to keep Obamacare. What a joke and a bunch of traitors.
great job !!!
1:40, if absolutely every Maryland citizen over the age of 17 including Martin OMalley called both Cardin and Mikulski and asked them to vote for this bill, they would vote against it anyway.
Guaranteed.
So...the fax machine that takes the requests under the Freedom of Information Act hasn't worked, and they say they can't fix it for several more weeks...(this is actually true)...they can't go get a $100 fax from Office Depot to get thing started again...these are the people that will be in charge of YOUR health care! Every American should be afraid of this monstrosity of implementation of the healthcare law (an oxymoron of I ever heard one.
5:53-It's our local democratic politicians who need to call and then let the media know they called. We all know which way the vote is going to go w/Mikulski and Cardin but it's high time our local democratic lawmakers start representing the people. They won't do it though. Too coward.
It's almost like they are all dead anyway. The only one we ever hear from is Del McDermott.
And Andy. He's 90% with us. bad on 4th amendment, though. wants to control the internet.
If they can't get things done with the majority they hold, exactly what good are they?
So tell me what Republicans thinks it's a good idea to keep paying the way for the lazy?
