Church leaders in culturally conservative Dominican Republic are outraged that President Obama nominated an openly homosexual activist to serve as ambassador to the Caribbean nation.
Cardinal Nicolas de Jesus Lopez, the Roman Catholic archbishop of the Dominican capital of Santo Domingo, Bishop Pablo Cedano and the Rev. Cristobal Cardozo, leader of the Dominican Evangelical Fraternity, are urging President Danilo Medino to reject the nominee, Chicago lawyer James Brewster.
“It’s an insult to good Dominican customs,” Father Cardozo said last week.
Bishop Cedano denounced the nomination for showing “a lack of respect,” and added cryptically: “If he arrives, he’ll suffer and will be forced to leave.”

Going all out isn't he? Russia and Ecuador are telling the US they aren't interested in talking about Snowden (you know, the guy accussed of treason for divulging national secrets to enemies - that be us USofA citizens) EU won't be discussing any trade talks with us because they don't trust countries that covertly spy on any of the European countries, now even little ole Dominica is tired of his shenanigans. Least he closed the White House to all but Muslim tourists so he could spend $100,000,000 on an extended family's African vacation.
Thats good old obama for you.Even sending the sick homosexuals over seas to be ambasadors. I think is great that the church leaders denounced the guy for being a homosexual. A sin is a sin.
They have sex with young boys, wouldn't that be considered homosexual? Or can they twist it so "it's ok" for them, but not for others.
3:53 Ding ding you win. Like the Catholic Church should ever point fingers.
First and foremost, the diplomatic corps must be TACTFUL. Regardless of one's thoughts on homosexuality, the State Department really erred in appointing a representative so shocking to a conservative society.
