The Veterans Administration offices here in Baltimore are among the worst in the nation in getting disability claims processed.
As Mike Schuh reports–it took over a year for a decision to come down. Now Senator Barbara Mikulski and others are using their power to get the VA to change how it does business.
They served their country, many are injured and now they want the VA to hold up their end of the bargain and provide the medical care they promised.
But here in Baltimore, the time between filing a benefits claim and getting an answer routinely ran over a year—and then 25% of those cases were mishandled. It’s the highest percentage of any VA office in the country.

Mikulski and Co. can't change the mismanagement of a government agency, she and her ilk are the cause of it.
Hooray for that comment 1:36, that is the truth!
How long has Babs been Senator? LOL
She will appoint a blue ribbon panel to investigate and after millions of wasted tax dollars and years gone by there will be no conclusion.
Babs Change For Worse? Yes, We Can Do That. Been Doing It For Loooooooooooong Tiime.
I have stopped buying some of my meds from the VA. The co-pay costs more than I can buy some meds from chain drug stores.
I got a idea throw the bums out and let the vets run tha joint.
254, long enough to fix that! But has she? Don't tell me what you're gonna do, tell me what you have done!
Mikulski = useless.
