The "fiscal impact"...thank you, Debbie Campbell, who finally pushed to have annexations start paying their city taxes WHEN ANNEXED! I would hate to know how many have been annexed years ago and still aren't paying city taxes. Also, thank you to the Moore family for working through this with the city council as everyone tried to get to a good outcome.
Nice job of charging the rt 50 property city taxes, water, and sewer, but conveniently leaving owners to pay for garbage form private contractors instead of providing city services for this???? City taxes include trash services. Pay up, Salisbury!
These payments per lot for revitalization...Jim and Barrie have been trying to get their hands on those $s forever. I fear that they now have the "partners" on council to get that done to the benefit of their cronies.
Mumbled something about only providing a gravity sewer main. With a hotel going up there, and being what, 8 miles from the WWTP, a pump station comes to mind. Or two! Now Three Lower Counties owns south property was applied for use there. More pump station. More WWTP load that can't handle the present load. Anyone getting this?
Sanitation is a separate fee.....you do not pay it unless ylo receive it. A common misconception. Don't worry, other will always be people around to tell the facts instead of conspiracy fiction.
Growth pays for growth. Think of what it will take to provide services 3 miles or more outside of the city....just wait till they annexWango....they can call it Wangobury.
8:06, think about that mess at the North end where construction of new businesses had to be halted because public works had messed up the calculation and a new pump station was needed right away.
I've heard that Jim had another fit over some questions raised about the budget. The broadcast went dark. Imagine that. I also heard that the vote was 3 to 2 in favor of the budget. It's still a 3 to 2 vote. It's just that the new council majority doesn't mind fleecing the taxpayers one bit.
Why is it fair only 50% of city residents have their property taxes increase and the other 50% don't? I'm on soical security and can't afford any more tax increases.

Here goes the vote! Taxes just went up, Salisbury! Thanks for voting in Jake! Guess we just had to pass it to see what was in it!
OK, Now my video is cut off because my "subscription failed"?
WTF?
That city council and mayor and that whole administration are a mess. They have know idea how to balance a budget with out raising taxes.
Now I can't get on even in private browsing. What's up?Anybody having this?

Did the city ever provide for commercial users??? Why should they now??? Oh..that's right...your choice didn't win.

You don't think a gravity system will feed to a lift station????
Get off your wallet...
My service went off too. What was the vote on the budget? On trash...there's never been pick up for business, just residential.

So is the Salisbury Police Department and the Salisbury Fire Department going to respond to calls all the way to Wor Wic Community College now?
Why is it that people think they should receive service that everyone else pays for , free?

Anon 7:30 p.m. So you came to that brilliant statement after one meeting.
9:56 If Salisbury annexes it, then they are responsible for it!

Mrs. Gibson is a rock star! She should be mayor.
