DOES THIS LOOK VOLUNTARY?
WATERTOWN, MA — On Friday, April 19, 2013, during a manhunt for a bombing suspect, police and federal agents spent the day storming people’s homes and performing illegal searches. While it was unclear initially if the home searches were voluntary, it is now crystal clear that they were absolutely NOT voluntary. Police were filmed ripping people from their homes at gunpoint, marching the residents out with their hands raised in submission, and then storming the homes to perform their illegal searches.

Nothing like sitting in your living room as men dressed in black(makes 'em feel like Ninja bad-asses) point automatic weapons at you (and threaten to kill your dog on the spot for doing what he is SUPPOSED to do) and MARCH you outside (at gunpoint). Your crime? None. Unless being alive in Boston just made the felony list. Then go through your house. Search warrant? LOL! Constitution? They wipe their ass with it. This is how it's going to go when gun confiscation begins. Hopefully the gun owners won't roll over and submit. This operation proves that the government thinks the citizens are pawns and NOT protected by ANY "Constitution". They will do as they please and the law? Doesn't apply to them. Doesn't apply to you, either.

Police: Hi, can we search your home? We are looking for a possible suicide bomber, who may be hiding on your property.
Resident: No, that would inconvenience me.
Police: Ok, thanks, we'll try the house next door.
Looked so much like 1940’s Germany, the Nazi’s looking for Jews! The black uniforms were a nice touch of nostalgia, looked so much like the SS uniforms, and those black boots too! No search warrants, no permission to enter; just ordered at gunpoint to get out of the way or you'll too will be shot down like a dog! The America of our forefathers is long gone, in the name of “Public Safety”; they use this BS to side step the bill of rights. Hitler said the same thing, he also outlawed the ownership of guns for the Jews, so they could be rounded up without placing his men in harm’s way. In our case, the government wants to round up anyone that don’t follow their rules, where do you thing they will take “Unlawful” gun owners??? Could be we get shot “Resisting Arrest”, and die in route to the hospital, or maybe we just commit “Suicide”, as a lot of other “Criminals” end up doing in a firefight with law enforcement. It is no wonder most people today hate cops.
What would have happened if they had refused the search and refused to come out of the house?

Alex, Had the obama admin done their job when the muslim jihadist terrorist was reported to them repeatly this would not have been necessary. This is the treatment he should have been subjected to on a regular basis so as to avert "a possible suicide bomber." Had the obama admin been competent we wouldn't even have to discuss this but instead they choose to tiptoe around extremeists for whatever reason.
We got to this absurd point of violating our citizens civil rights because obama is stupidly applying civil rights to foreigners whose own govenments have reported them to be extremists to us.
If people were out and about, it would have been harder for the suspect to hide.
As best as I can tell, there is no legal authority for them to do this. So if you care about your rights it's up to you to enforce them. Otherwise, they will take another right the next time. This will continue until you have none.
I guess police should have just let the guy go. But then again people would complain about that too. Outstanding job by all agencies involved!!!!
Alex I would encourage you to read the amendments to our constitution, 1 to 10, also known as the bill of rights and make that same assanine statement. There's even a constitutional app so if you can tear your eyes away from tmz and msnbc long enough to actually read something and educate yourself. Common sense would tell you that most people have enough sense to know if a suspected terrorist is in their bedroom. There was a shooting on first street in Salisbury a couple days ago and the shooter hasn't been caught. How about Salisbury police, Maryland state police, and military special forces pull you out of your house at gunpoint and search your belongings looking for him. Under your line of thinking its the same. So bend over and take your tyranny like a good little slave

I'm guessing you are about 25-30 years old, without an ounce of historical knowledge, have never read the Constitution, think that by giving up security you will gain safety (absurdly idiotic), and are afraid of loud noises. Here is a clue, just for you --- the police and the government do NOT have the legal right to pick and choose when and where the law might apply. They do it all the time, because we have allowed them extraordinary powers, but that was a mistake. Now, these storm troopers are a law unto themselves and they act accordingly. Video proof abounds. You need to get out more and your first stop should be a library. Here's another clue while I'm at it -- the US government is not really serious about stopping terrorism. Its a gold mine in so many different ways. None of them to your advantage, of course.

1:21 judging from your foolish rhetoric you are either current or retired LEO. I would also encourage you to download the constitution app and actually understand what you take an oath to defend. Boston last Friday was social conditioning. This is a constitutional republic, not a police state.
It wouldn't surprise me if the FBI and/or police just smash in people's doors with a Battering Ram in the near future if our ever so prestigious government deems the measure "justifiable."

No 4:20. Someone reported the wanted guy staying in some apartment in Snow Hill so they went there. I was listening on the scanner and nothing like this happened at all.

You're right 12:26 considering it was a citizen who noticed the bomber and not LE.
A few years ago there were the beltway snipers around Washington that killed 22 people. Did they close down the beltway? No, traffic was not stopped and all travel remained the same. People you better wake up. There will be Martial Law under Obama.

And a good inside look at how much they know about the law, such as it is right now. 9:28 better try READING. Start with the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution. Then tell me how that works out for the public. You cops are NOT a law unto yourselves and it doesn't matter if your Chief tells you to raid and search every house in your town without a warrant, HOPING to get lucky. It is ILLEGAL. We fought a revolution to stop that crap. Were they teaching that in school when you went? Search and seizure without a warrant might work when you "smell marijuana", or the subject "acted suspiciously", but NOT when you are sitting in your underwear in your living room watching TV and a dozen storm troopers point automatic weapons at you and make you leave your house with hands in the air while they look for someone loose in the city. Your "rules" do not trump the Constitution. At least, they're not SUPPOSED to....and it's cops like you that will be our oppressors, not our protectors.
