Seems they did know how to put gas in the car. Only problem was it runs on diesel! Now I wonder how much this is going to cost us. Any car people out there? What happens when you put gas in a diesel engine?

Putting diesel in a gas tank creates an explosive situation. Pumping the tank and refilling it with the proper fuel with a fuel pump is not that big of a chore, maybe 2 hours' shop time. Some recycling fees back at the refinery and shipping it there in 5 gallon cans is probably a 500 dollar day.
Then, the cost of refilling the tank, well, over there, I think it's about six bucks!
Can we please find someone who will represent our Country with dignity. I truly believe America is becoming joke to most other Nations. If this is the message we are sending to the world that we are too stupid to use the right fuel in our cars, we are a joke.
Don't they have any cars in Israel that Obama could have used instead of charging the taxpayer hundreds of thousands to ship that car over there? And his staff is so inept they put the wrong type of fuel in--well yeah that doesn't surprise me.

Problem is, we don't know how long the engine was operated on gasoline... Just changing the fuel is not that big a deal, but running a diesel engine on gasoline will very quickly burn out the pistons and blow out all the seals. One minute of running time can turn the entire engine into junk.
