good luck on that one.The red light at the Church and Truitt intersection in SBY was never replaced after a wind storm disabled the old one.I can't count the # of car wrecks that have occurred there since.

Don't pull out in front of people and you won't get wacked. Put the phone down and drive with both hands and all of one brain.

"Yet nothing is being done to rectify the problem"

How about having common sense. How about placing blame where it belongs.
How about NOT depending on Government and driving safely!

I agree with you 12:58 except that's one of those try telling it to the other guy type of things. The inordinate number of accidents at this intersection is cause for concern. I would hate to see one more person esp one who was obeying all traffic laws get killed or injured by someone who didn't use common sense and is to blame.
I generally hate the govenment and think they stick their noses in most places it does not belong but since I cannot control the way others drive, it's one thing I do expect the government to help out any way they can.

Put in a roundabout. That will keep you people from complaining, oh I forget then people will have to slow down and complain about that. It's simple. Look before you pull out and the problems are solved.

since I cannot control the way others drive,

That is correct. And you can't control if they stop for the red light either.

You have to drive for yourself AND the other guy.

It's two lanes of one way traffic each way. Cross two lanes, wait, look, proceed when safe.

If you don't want to do that, make a right, go a little ways, make a u-turn, go a little ways, make a right.

If you don't want to do that, don't drive, call a cab or have someone drive you.

Thank you, 521! Really, intersections are not hard to figure out, but if you need more time, just pull over to the shoulder and observe it for a while until you understand.
If that doesn't work for you. Drive home, shred your driver's license, and call that cab!
Oh, don't forget to sell your car for enough money to pay for cab fare for the rest of your life!
