Months before the Newtown, Connecticut, shooting where a 20-year-old gunman walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School with an arsenal of weapons and killed 20 children and six school workers.
Maryland mental health workers had already formed a task force on guns and the mentally ill and the group found that firearms should be immediately stripped from anyone making specific threats of serious violence.

and who will pronounce you mentally ill? i agree something needs to be done regarding this issue, but i don't want the government to have this power. i don't think you do either...
He did not own those guns. He stole them and killed the owner of them; his own mother! You need to re-form your "task farce".
The "National All Schedules Prescription Electronic Reporting Act", signed by George Bush, requires that the Federal Government keep a database of all drug prescriptions. I can only assume that these will be the first people placed on a list that keeps them from owning firearms.
