TRAFFIC ALERT - Sussex County Return Day in Georgetown Will Require Momentary Closure Of Roadways

Georgetown -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) advises motorists that The Circle in downtown Georgetown will be closed to traffic around 5 PM on Wednesday, November 7 for Sussex County Return Day. Motorists should plan their routes accordingly that day, since the closure of The Circle will affect through traffic for Routes 9, 404, and 18.

There will also be a brief closure of Arrow Safety Road and West Market Street at Route 113 for the parade starting around 10 AM on Thursday, November 8, and will be reopened at the conclusion of the parade.

Traffic is expected to be heavy in the early morning hours as parade participants and attendees make their way to The Circle in Georgetown. All roads should be re-open to traffic by 8 PM on Thursday, November 8.
