In a warning to President Obama, Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Tuesday night that the reelection of the House Republican majority means that there is “no mandate for raising tax rates” on the American people.
Boehner delivered brief remarks to a subdued crowd of Republicans in Washington who watched as Obama won key early states on the road to a possible reelection victory Tuesday.
While the Speaker has in recent days predicted a victory for Republican nominee Mitt Romney, he made no such declaration shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, after the House was projected to stay in GOP hands.

Funny how that's all the republicans care about
And so nothing gets done in Congress for another four years, huh?
People have blamed President Obama for the mess out there when the blame is with the people who write the laws. Congress.
Of course 7:70 and it's because republicans know what are the tried and proven method of job creation and jump starting the economy. The democrats want to do things like line the pockets of their contributors in the "green" energy field which time and time again has fallen flat on it face.
The democats want everyone to be kept down with only a few of their own elite with money. They want everyone to revert back to being slaves. Why do you think the republicans had to start a war in order to free the slaves? Had it been left up to the democrats the black people would still literally be in chains. The dems fought tooth and nail and were willing to die so slavery would remain legal as opposed to the republicans who gave their lives to free people from slavery. Since the republicans believed in and fought for what is a basic human right, now the democrats have come up with a way to keep people which is mostly poor low income blacks still in slavery. The chains are still there, but they are invisible.
This is one of the reasons why I can not relate to the democrats who are black people. If someone was willing to give their life for me, I would never turn my back on them. It makes no sense.
