Providing an 11th hour clue to how blacks will vote on the presidential stage, 95 percent of African Americans believe that the federal government should be the nation's jobs creator, according to a last-minute battleground poll.
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People released their poll on Election Day to show that jobs, and blacks' preference for a "national jobs program," is the number one issue. Next, but way down the list of importance, was education at 23 percent and health care at 22 percent.
The poll of 1,600 African Americans who have already voted or said they were certain to vote did not indicate a winner in the President Obama-Mitt Romney race, but Romney has championed tax cuts and the expansion of small business job creation while the president is eager for government stimulus spending to create new jobs.

The Fed does provide jobs. It is one of the largest employers in the Country, if not the largest; and that is a big part of the problem.
The federal government dummied down the tests years ago to meet quotas; this situation has never been corrected and is the cause of much the 'dead wood' in the goverment, from the very highest to lowest paid personnel.
They provide jobs:
Army
Navy
Air Force
Marines
Coast Guard
But they must actually WORK and be drug free.
Stating support for a "national jobs program" or saying you feel the gov. can play a role in juicing job creation is NOT the same as saying "gov. should provide jobs"
This poll was obviously taken outside of an inner city location in Philly or LA
They are to stupid to see taxpayers are the fed.
The feds and states provide free education. If they took advantage of learning and studying, the jobs will be there.
What do they need jobs for? They already get subsidized housing, food stamps, cell-phones, and cable.
Also correct about the Federal Gov't jobs program...the attitude and competence level is amazing!
This is absurd
Obama promised "shovel ready" jobs to improve our wrecked infrastructure, that was over 4 years ago. I'm still waiting.
The federal government does provide jobs. The military.
For the life of me I just cannot understand the mindset of anyone who thinks the fed gov't SHOULD be the nation's job creator. These people really do live in a different world than I do. I identify with Mitt Romney (of course his wealth aside) way more than any one of these people polled.
Look, folks, the campaigners all said they would "create jobs". So the ignorant masses take that at face value, vote for the one who says (lies) it the most times, and then waits for it to happen, It's fairly simple and predictable among the uneducated, or, should I say, those who graduated high school without reading, writing, and social skills.
Get used to it now...
