Believe me, if I could sell my house and start up my business someplace else other than the US, I would move tomorrow. However, thanks to Obama for being small business unfriendly and for the price of homes to basically go into foreclosure, I am "stuck" here a little bit longer. BUT, the first chance I have of leaving Maryland (and the US) I am out of here. I feel like I no longer live in America.....more like Mexico, Russia, etc!

I am with you. I had a conversation with two other Salisbury businessmen this morning and they said the same.

more on this whole election...take a look at ocean city...the city council was tearing the town up...then the elected council tried to pin it on dennis dare and then fired him that was classy...the town realized they needed to clean house from the bottom and did so last night kudos to ocean city....the large problem with this country is in the house and the senate...we have no term limits on the people who can cause us the most problems but the man at the top can only get 8 years and he is not much more than a figure head. lobbyists dont lobby the president they lobby senators ect to get what they want you really want to fix things start at the foundation and work your way up
My husband is ready to pack and move to Australia. Don't know what we would do there. I know their immigration laws are quite stringent, hubby is a teacher, maybe that would work to our advantage?!?!

You only have to renounce your American citizenship and "live" in the country you choose to naturalize in for like 30 days out of the year. There are quite a few "expats" in Mexico from the northern VA area. Alot of retired fed gov't workers. Groups of them have bought in condos and they rename them things like "Little Arlington." They still retain their homes in VA and live there most of the time but avoid paying higher income tax this way.
