Employers Could Face 40 Percent Workman’s Comp Hike

A proposed 40 percent increase in workman’s compensation rates has raised a backlash from the Delaware business community. Delaware Department of Insurance has scheduled a series of public information sessions to inform and educate residents about the proposed change.
The Insurance Department held a public information session in each of Delaware’s three counties.  A Nov. 13 information session was held at Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown.
A public hearing has been rescheduled to 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 20 at the Carvel State Office Building on North French Street in Wilmington.

Yep, business should pay more. After all, businesses are all owned by filthy rich millionaires, aren't they? At least that's what Obama, O'Malley and Markel think/

In MD ours went up 400% 2 years ago. I would be happy with only a 40% increase.

One more reason why I can't hire anyone in my business. Guess I will just keep plugging along doing what I can do in a days time to survive! On top of that, the lovely Obamacare, why would I even think about hiring anyone? Along with that - unemployment?

No thank you. I will work until I am 85 (or older) to pay the bills and watch all the Obama phone people sitting out on their porches or standing in line at the grocery store buying their steaks and seafood while I eat my frozen dinners! Is there something wrong with this picture. I guess I am the crazy one to keep working that's whats wrong.............

We the people have to cut off the flow of money to this Government. It is the only way. Obama is oppressing ANYONE that works to advance his Socialist/communist agenda. Dems and Repubs all suffer.
We can not afford to "carry" all the dead weight anymore. People that do nothing but have babies for unemployed drug dealing hip hop hustlers should not be living better than people that work an honest job.
Especially when we owe our seniors that worked and paid into a corrupt system all of their lives.
