A Comment Worthy Of A Post 11-15-12

What I find amazing is that as soon as the presidential race begins, the incumbent president (I'm not being bias here - Both republicans and democrats) stop adequately doing their job for several months to run for re-election. Secrets are hidden, important events are postponed, issues such as this incident in Benghazi are dealt with later, agendas temporarily changed to please the masses, economic numbers are skewed, money is "discovered," etc. Does anybody else see anything wrong with this?! The President is voted in for 4 years, not 3 years and 9 months. The American people pay for the incumbent's travels, hospitality, security, entertainment, etc in order for him to achieve political gains. It costs the US taxpayers MILLIONS if not BILLIONS of dollars to fund the President's re-election campaign while his opponent is digging into his own pockets for his campaign. If the incumbent was adequately doing his job, in the view of the majority of the population during his tenure, don't you think that it would be unnecessary for him to run a political campaign to seek re-election? If the incumbent is so confident in what he has done then his political campaign would have simply said "if you like what you have seen in the last 4 years then vote for me. If not, vote for the other guy."

If we ever have a truly great President again; A trustworthy President with honor, dignity and respect for himself, this Nation and the American people, I feel that he (or she) would be able to run a successful campaign for a second term solely based on his previous time in office; Based on his record, not his promises. The need for an incumbent campaign would be redundant. What ever happened to the "People's president?" The president that EVERYBODY at least respected even though they didn't always share a common political agenda? Has the political divide become so great that it is impossible for a super majority of the American population to trust and support a single American leader? It is worrisome to see that the Presidential election was only separated by 2.85% of the 121 Million votes cast. What is further concerning is that 41.3% of the 207Million US Citizens eligible to vote did not bother to exercise their right to vote.

Perhaps it is time for the people of this nation to start thinking for themselves instead of a isolating themselves into a political party, race, religion or economic bracket. More importantly, perhaps it is time to start thinking about what is best for the good of the nation and not for the good of yourself alone. If gays want to get married, who are you to say no? If I want to own a gun, who are you to take away take away my 2nd amendment right? If a woman wants to abort a pregnancy resulting from a rape, who are you to torture her by saying she can't? And why should the government be deciding those rights?

We need to go back to the basis this once great country was founded upon. When people worked hard to survive and achieve success instead of sitting back and collecting a check for doing nothing. When we had no religious interference in the government. When we were guaranteed certain liberties that nobody could take away. When we ALL paid our fair share to Uncle Sam. When we respected our government because it respected us. When our soldiers were saluted and thanked by civilians. WHEN WE WERE THE GREATEST COUNTRY THAT NOBODY IN THE WORLD WOULD DARE CROSS! That's the dream we should have, the original American Dream!

Oh, if only it were that easy

What's worrisome is that so many people are themselves so morally and intellectually retarded that they would even consider voting much less pulling the lever for the Freak Obama.

That's the spirit 1046. Knock on the majority of America. That will pick us up out of this hole!

The "majority of America" has shown their true colors 11:04 by reelecting Obama. Put aside his completely failed record and just concentrate on his lying. Anyone who could vote for such a liar isn't worth a crap themselves. When you approve and condone lying you are worse than the liar themselves. He is the epitome of a sleazy politician. If he wants to teach his own children it's okay to lie than that's fine, but American's parents should not support this. Not to mention his completely pervertedness. Imagine an adult much less the president associating with other perverts who call women hoes and the "c" word. His low class ghetto behaviour may be fine for his wife and daughters and 'his own people' but not for alot of people. These people are like "hoes" who will sell themselves for what they in their own minds they consider the honor of being president. Atleast almost 50% of the voters saw this and refuse to lower themselves down to this level and chose to vote for decency over the trash.

Anon 10:26AM,
Perhaps you are too far Right to be a part of a solution to the problem. In today's society there are more and more people willing to find a middle ground on economics, social issues, ideologies and politics in general; however, the dominance of the Republican and Democratic parties leaves little room for the true independents to wiggle in to the political scene. A very few people in this nation can honestly and accurately group ALL of their political views as a republican or democrat. There is some democrat in every republican and some republican in every democrat.

One of Romney's key flaws in his shortcomings during this past election is that he was often accused of being "wishy washy" or vague in his views on sensitive topics. Take abortion for instance; Romney appeared to be pro life, but at the same time he has been on record stating that he respects a woman's right in certain cases. How can he get the Republican ticket if he leans toward a pro choice stance? I personally, believe that he stands on a good middle ground where he respects a woman's rights in an undesirable situation such as rape, incest or imminent health issues but yet he also falls in line with those who believe if you're having sex that you should realize the consequences. That's about as moderate as you can get on the situation.

Romney on same sex marriage? He opposed same sex marriage stating that, "I’ve opposed same-sex marriage, but I’ve also opposed unjust discrimination against anyone, for racial or religious reasons, or for sexual preference...But the debate over same-sex marriage is not a debate over tolerance. It is a debate about the purpose of the institution of marriage." Romney's stand on same sex marriage is based on his raising, his religion and his view that a marriage should only be between a man and a woman and that every child deserves the opportunity to have a mother and father. He was in favor of recognizing domestic partnerships that include the opportunity for shared health benefits, tax benefits and rights of survivorship. His stand stems more from a religious stand point where, per the bible, marriage is to be between a man and a woman. Isn't that where marriage stems from to begin with, from Religion?

Romney believes in free markets as the key to economic prosperity. He wanted to lower the tax burden on ALL citizens, not just the rich or just the poor. We are all guaranteed to die so he wanted death taxes eliminated. He wanted capital gains taxes reduced to promote investment. He wanted lower business taxes to free up money for jobs and salaries. Romney was a supporter of universal healthcare, but wanted to delegate its implementation at the state level in lieu of ObamaCare at the federal level. He wanted to take advantage of domestic energy sources to reduce foreign dependency, but continue to promote and invest in renewable energy. He wanted to promote trade with Latin America to take advantage of logistics and like time zones and to reduce trade with communist China.

Like I said, Romney is far more moderate than his fellow far right republicans. I personally feel that he lost a lot of voters due to the fact that the republican party leans too far right and he was too closely grouped to their extreme views. As with putting Palin in the ticket in 2008, the Republican party sunk it's own ship again this year. Call me an idealist all you want, but when two sides can't compromise nothing gets accomplished. And when democrats and republicans come to a middle ground on a topic, wouldn't you call that moderatism? Why run a platform where you have to convince one side to come to your side to get a majority of the votes when you can run in the middle and take the majority. Again, I feel that the political machines running this nation are ripping it apart. This isn't 1960 anymore, times have changed, morals have changed and obviously the economy has changed.

Thank you for your opinion of Obama and his supporters 11:32.

However, the Obama's are a lovely family. Just because he is black does not make him ghetto. And so what if he has talked to JayZ? He has been out of the drug game for decades, and I can't remember the last time he used the term hoe in his latest raps.

JayZ built himself from the ground up and is now worth a fortune. You would think you people would celebrate his aspiration and work effort to get him where he is today.

And I hope Romney's fake personality isn't the "decency" you are talking about.

If you think the Obama's are a lovely family than that is your business. Obama also took a million dollar campaign donation from Bill Maher. The same Bill Maher who called Sarah Palin a "c." If you think that's "lovely" than that too is your business though most people would think it's vulgar.
As far as Jay Z if you celebrate him again, your business, but quite alot of people do have different morals that don't allow them to celebrate anyone who calls or even called women "hoes" and promoted the violence he did in his music to get him where he is today.

I could care less whether obama's black or white or yellow-ghetto behavious has no color-NONE-actions are what lower people to that status.

"JayZ built himself from the ground up and is now worth a fortune. You would think you people would celebrate his aspiration and work effort to get him where he is today"

Jay Z got "where he is today" by promoting violence, drug use, etc, in his music. You actually "celebrate" that 12:33?
I can not understand the mindset of someone who "celebrates" anything so useless and detrimental to society as his dumb music. I prefer to "celebrate" men and woman who have shown a true contribution to society, such as those in the public safety, healthcare, military....

I just really really don't think so either, that anyone should be "celebrating" someone like Jay Z who did make his money promoting degenerate criminal behavior. It's actually kind of sick that some have standards so low as to look up to that type of person.
Look up Dr Ben Carson, African American world famous pediactric neurosurgeon. He's someone to "celebrate."

Promoting it? Look, I understand you dislike rap music, but don't try to define something you don't know.

His raps are about his life. He was a drug dealer when he was a kid. It's what he knew so he rapped about it. What else was he supposed to rap about? I'm not condoning it, it's just the life he grew up in.

Besides, he only got popular by rapping about his life. He made his fortune by creating/expanding a business. That's what I meant by celebrating his success.

And come on 1:04, what has Obama done that is "ghetto". Other than happening to have talked to people you disagree with morally?

He is living proof of the American Dream. Coming up from nothing and becoming somebody. That's what I celebrate.
