Security giant Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems is shedding up to 350 employees.
The company is calling it a "voluntary separation program," involving employees in Maryland, and several other states by early next year.
Most of the eliminations will involve managers and directors with some of the reductions impacting non-management employees as well.

Dow Chemical also announced yesterday they were going to cut 2400 jobs and shut down 20 plants, some in the US.
I thought Obama said we were in better shape now more than ever!
Defense spending has expanded under Obama, and NG directly benefits from it. The layoffs are the choice of a private business, not Obamas fault.
