MD Casino Revenue Decreases For August

Revenue is down at one Maryland casino and overall across the state in numbers released Wednesday by the Maryland Lottery.

The Hollywood Casino in Perryville generated $6,516,421.35 in August – down from by $2,031,385.99 or 23.8% from August 2011.  There are currently 1,500 machines at the casino.

In Worcester County, the Casino at Ocean Downs generated $5,670,704.34 in August – up from $1,108,169.22 or 24.3% from August 2011.  There are currently 800 machines at the casino.

And the gov wants to build a billion dollar casino-I dont think so.

I don't care what the revenues were. After all of costs, was there a net profit?

Casinos are not making money, please state real facts,
