Mikulski Highlights Women At DNC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Maryland Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski helped kick off a Democratic National Convention ladies night on Wednesday, surrounded by her fellow Senate women and highlighting the Obama record on issues important to women.

"When women are in the halls of power, our national debate reflects the needs and dreams of American families," Mikulski said in a speech punctuated by appeals to women.

"We've built families, businesses and communities. We're Sunday school teachers and former governors, prosecutors and moms in tennis shoes," she said, the latter a reference to a campaign slogan for fellow senator and convention speaker Patty Murray of Washington.

I will give her credit for helping women, other than she is a complete moron.

I attempted to be fair and balanced and watch the DNC but after Fluke and Warren last night I'm done. These woman are crazy.
I can't relate to Fluke (the beggar for tax paid birth control.) I can pay my own way and if I couldn't I sure as heck would give a man the time of day who didn't have the cash to help me pay for birth control that's for sure.
I'm on a totally different level in my way of thinking and have much higher standards than Fluke.
As far as Warren. Good grief! That was nothing more than the ramblings of someone who sounded like they had a few too many and I ended up falling asleep

The only good thing to come out of this convention was the beginning of omalley's political demise.
In his compelling need to inflate his self importance and be seen on national television he committed the unthinkable by breaking rank and in an infrequent moment of truthfulness agreed that we are not better off now than 4 years ago.

If the democrats are to save face they need to immediately dismiss Wasserman Schultz as the chairwoman of the DNC.
She has been caught in yet another lie and this time she has involed another person Michael Oren, the Israeli ambassador. If she wants to constantly tell lies about statistics, etc than so be it but it is disgraceful that she involved him by saying he said something that he didn't.
And again where are the supposedly prominent democrats who should be calling her out on this?
I cannot relate one bit to the woman who the democrats hold in esteem. All of them have some serious character flaws.

I watched her and her statement "We've built this and that". Does she not know that Obama says you didn't build that. Is she breaking away from the President? Oh, and the Democrats have taken God out of the program, so how can she , under the platform, mention Sunday school. Seems to me the Democrats can't get on the same page, or perhaps have no clue.

Sen Mikulski is one of the few democrats I can listen to.
She's from the old school~~~ You know the ones~~~ The "ask not what your country can do for you-ask what you can do for your country" democrats.
