What would you do as mayor about the bridges? They seem always broken.

They aren't always broken, first of all. Secondly, State Highway is in charge of these Bridges.

I'll pose a real question for candidates for mayor:

What happens to emergency response from Station 16 on Cypress Street when the Drawbridges are up/broken and Isabella Street is impassable due to construction? Especially considering that Station 16 has the almighty and expensive Tower truck that was a must have for buildings over 3 stories, all of which are on the other side of the river from Station 16. In order for fire apparatus to get across the river in the event that the drawbridges are up and Isabella Street is shut down, the trucks would have to travel all the way up Jersey Road to Naylor Mill Road and back down Rt 13. This a logistical nightmare from the emergency response view point that has yet to be addressed by the Mayor or Salisbury Fire Department. Lives could be at stake, but nobody seems to want to address the problem. What would you do Joe? How do you solve the problem that was caused by this poor planning?
