Incident: Assault on a DOC Employee

Suspect: Ronald Ralph Brooks, 69, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 3 August 2012 an officer from the Wicomico County Department of Corrections was performing his duties when he was confronted by an inmate, Ronald Ralph Brooks, who threw both urine and feces on the officer. The substances struck the office in the face and on his leg, requiring him to immediately withdraw and seek assistance. The officer was cleaned of these substances and provided medical attention.
Based on Brooks’ actions, an arrest warrant for assault was obtained and subsequently served by the Sheriff’s Office on 7 August 2012. Brooks was processed on this additional charge and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner who continues Brooks’ detention.
Brooks was currently being held without bond on an assault charge at the time of this incident.

NARRATIVE: On August 7th 2012 at 10:30pm, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to Thirsty’s in Delmar for an armed robbery. The scene was then turned over to the Wicomico County Bureau of Investigations. The store clerk advised that two unknown black males entered the store brandishing handguns .The first suspect was a black male wearing all black clothing armed with a revolver. The second suspect was a black male wearing all dark clothing and a dark red hoodie armed with a semi-automatic handgun. Both suspects were wearing face masks. Suspects obtained an unknown amount of U.S. currency and fled the business on foot towards Chestnut Street. The clerk was not injured during the incident. Incident: Burglary Investigation
Date of Incident: 7 Aug 2012
Location: 1000 block of Maple Street, Delmar, MD
Suspect: Pending
Narrative: On 7 August 2012 at 9:15 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded and investigated the burglary of a detached garage in a residential neighborhood. Investigation revealed that the unknown perpetrator(s) entered the building through a window and made off with several tools and small electronics.
