CBO: Obamacare Will Leave 30 Million Uninsured

A new Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report says that under the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare, 30 million non-elderly Americans will remain without health insurance in 2022.

One of the main arguments the Obama administration made for passing the Affordable Care Act was that it would provide coverage for the uninsured.

Currently, accoriding to CBO, there are 53 million uninsured persons in the United States, including uninsured illegal aliens. The CBO estimates that in 2022--8 years after the Affordable Care Act has been fully implemented--30 million people will remain uninsured.

Another Obama success story - big bill for the taxpayers & no real improvement.

Its not about being insured.....its about being a giant ponzie scheme, 100X bigger than SS. Its a fresh new and untapped resource for them to squander, spend, waste and purchase trillions in back room deals to gain their selves untold riches.

10:01, guess you failed math class. I would call cutting the number of uninsured by 50% a "real improvement". And aren't those who still don't have coverage the people that the right cheers on as deserving to die if they get sick?

11:10-A trillion dollars to get the job half done. That's how I'd look at it.

The most basic fundamental duty each and everyone has is to take care of themselves.
Most of those that are "uninsured" are uninsured by choice.
Why would a 20 year old male want to buy major medical? Under Obamacare they are forced to.
The absolute best way to fix medical care in this country would be to outlaw medical insurance completely. Everyone should pay their own way. You would see an immediate drop in medical fees and unnecessary procedures

10:34-You are exactly right.A ponzi scheme is walking such a fine line that many will study it and consider it legit. Not until it fails, like in the Madeoff case, will those in favor of it wake up.
