Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio is as embattled as ever – facing multiple
lawsuits, Hollywood and a field of challengers vying to unseat him in
November. But the sheriff whose tough stances on illegal immigration and
criminal punishment have sparked nationwide controversy has one big
advantage in his re-election bid -- a nearly $7 million war chest.
The money far exceeds that raised by the independent and two
Democrats trying to keep the Republican sheriff from winning a sixth
term in Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix and is the state’s
largest and most populated county.
Most of the 80-year-old Arpaio’s money comes from outside of Arizona,
a fact that is neither a surprise nor a fact his campaign tries to
downplay.

I wish Sheriff Joe Arpaio was the sheriff of Salisbury instead of what we have now..

Salisbury has a chief of police.
Wicomico county has a sheriff.
Either way they both need to go. We need a county police force ran by a cop that has integrity. We dont need someone that ran from trouble in New York or an ego driven narcisist who is gone one third of the year teaching racial profiling down south. The bottom line is his claim to fame is stopping thousands of African Americans and arresting a couple dozen of them. So the other 1800 or so that got stopped for being African American are just the down side of doing business. The last I checked this is America you have the right to move about freely no matter what race or state you are from. He is no Captian America trust me.
I would like to see Sheriff Joe facing election as president.
