Barack Obama's great rhetorical gifts include the ability to make the absurd sound not only plausible, but inspiring and profound.
His latest verbal triumph was to say on July 13th, "if you've been successful, you didn't get there on your own." As an example, "Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business – you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."
Let's stop and think, even though the whole purpose of much political rhetoric is to keep us from thinking, and stir our emotions instead.
Even if we were to assume, just for the sake of argument, that 90 percent of what a successful person has achieved was due to the government, what follows from that? That politicians will make better decisions than individual citizens, that politicians will spend the wealth of the country better than those who created it? That doesn't follow logically – and certainly not empirically.
Does anyone doubt that most people owe a lot to the parents who raised them? But what follows from that? That they should never become adults who make their own decisions?

He will not recover from the "you didn't build it" comment. How can he? It's ridiculous.
And just paid the taxes to build the roads and bridges. Not the ones on food stamps and the illegals who receive SS. when they turn 65 even though they've never contributed to it. What a dufuss this idiot is. That goes to the dufusses that support him.

Anyone who listens to or subscribes to any rhetoric from a loser such as he deserves to be in the same boat with him and all the other democratic pea brains. Look at who you're dealing with, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer and the list of the mentally incompetant goes on and on. There isn't ONE original thought between them anytime. A conglamoration of worn out career politicians that should either be at home bouncing their grand kids on their knees or dead; preferably the second choice so they can't infect anothers' judgement if they try to be an effective representative of the people.
He is correct when he says that someone else made that happen, if he is talking about govt.
See govt is the only legalized mafia in the world. If you give them enough money ( taxes, fee's penalties ...etc.) they will allow you to do what you want. See how they helped you be a sucess.... If you have the money to pay them off you get to be a successful business, if not well.... we will penalize you and make it so you will never have anything.
