Over the last few weeks we have had some interesting letters to the editor. The first one had the writer espousing the virtues of Mitt Romney because he’s not Obama. Forget that he agrees with Obama on everything from stealing the freedoms of Americans, to the failed bailouts, to socialized medicine. He must be better, he’s republican. Or is he?
Then we had another, with the same old tired typical nonsensical response that we don’t like Obama because of his funny sounding name & questionable citizenship. Really Rex?? It has NOTHING to do with the $5 Trillion he’s stolen from future generations in 3 just years? It has NOTHING to do with his signing and continuation of such unconstitutional laws as the Patriot Act, and the NDAA? It has NOTHING to do with his continued warmongering? It has NOTHING to do with the fact that Obama’s entire presidency has been dedicated to paying off those that helped him get elected, mainly the unions and the bankers. It has NOTHING to do with his failed Keynesian economic policies? That’s Keynesian, not Kenyan, BTW. I could continue, but that’s not what I want to talk about.
What I want to talk about is that these 2 writers have fallen into the same trap that many folks do. They actually believe there are 2 different political parties in this Country. Get your head out of the partisan sand, boys. The last re-up of the Patriot act was passed by 2/3 of the Democrats & 2/3 of the Republicans. Your republican representative just voted for CISPA last week (an internet censorship bill that clearly violates our 1st amendment rights). Congress folk on both sides of the aisle have long ago abandoned their oath to the Constitution.
Our political system has been controlled by corporations for many years. One only has to look at the media treatment of Ron Paul this election season to know that. Even though he’s won majority delegates in Maine, New Hampshire, and West Virginia in just the last 2 weeks, there was no mention of those victories in the MSM. Even in our own County, Ron Paul won the delegate. No mention in the local paper, just that Santorum won the straw poll by 1 vote. The reason is simple; the media is controlled by the large corporations, which are controlled by the banks & the Federal Reserve. Follow the money. Look at Obama’s & Romney’s donor list – Goldman Sach’s, JP Morgan. Look at Ron Paul’s – active Army, Navy, and Marines.
The Federal Government has one job outside of Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. That is to protect our Life, Liberty, and Property. It is a very clear and simple job, and it doesn’t take $4,000,000,000,000.00 a year to do. Over 90 cents on every dollar they spend is on mischief outside of the guidelines of the Constitution. We need to clean that up, now! Vette your candidates, both local and national. Do your own research; don’t be told how to vote by Fox news or the Casper Tribune. Don’t settle for the lesser of 2 evils any more. The lesser of 2 evils is still evil.
In Liberty,
John Publius
