I don't believe there are too many people that would say "no". Just alot of people that believe this fantasy that these companies love us so much they would never poison the environment and all they want to do is give that oil to US consumers at the cheapest price.
Yes, but we also need more refineries. Almost one third of America's refineries have been closed since the great socialist has been in office.
11:28, and I'm sure that has nothing to do with the fact that they are opening refineries in Asia where growth has been booming and they have access to billions of new customers. I mean, it's not like that trend had been predicted 10 years ago.
Oil is an highly inelastic market. In these type markets small changes in supply mean big changes in price. So when the Prez says drilling will not work he is either stupid or a liar. He is not stupid.
BTW we will never run out of oil.
The US has an abundance of oil and we should be drilling US and buying US. Let the other countries fend for themselves!
Somewhere there are warehouses full of brilliant alternative energy inventions bought out by big oil.Even more fuel efficient carb systems were bought for huge sums and shelved.As far back as WW2 a carburation system was developed for an army tank giving it a conservative 22 MPG,compared to it's normal 3 MPG.Big oil woul'nt hear of it.Now because of self inflicted consumption we have no choice but to drill.

If the oil companies drill more in the US they will only sell it on the spot market to the Chinese. They are private companies, and it is there obligation to maximize profits for their stockholders. Unless you really want socialism that is what will happen.

If we would just extract oil from the rigs we have in place it would help.Countries all over the world are taking oil from the gulf,but our rigs are sitting idle.Our leader gave 2 billion dollars to Brazil to drill off their coast so we could be a good customer.He is suceeding in his quest to ruin our economy.
