Congress Blasts GSA

Congress isn't even in session, but members are blasting the General Services Administration. Rep. John Mica (R-Fla.), chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, hosted a news conference to describe rampant management and spending problems at GSA. The agency was rocked earlier this week with the resignation of administrator Martha Johnson over a lavish conference. Mica complained the agency had stonewalled him on information about sales of excess federal buildings. He vowed business as usual was over for GSA.
