The Public Eye

Thanks for reading my column this week. Gracias por leer mi columna de esta semana.

For English, please press one followed by the pound sign. Para español, presione dos, seguida por el signo de libra.

Did I mention that I called Comcast this week?

It’s not that I mind these menu-driven switchboard systems, but I have always believed – and call me crazy — that they would be more efficient if they GOT YOU WHERE THE H*** YOU WANTED TO GO.

I agree. Why in the hell should I have to press 1 or anything else for English? So, I guess when it comes to the Presidential election, we will have to press 1 for a American with a SS number from a man who died in 1948. The Presidents SS number once belonged to Mr. Jean Paul Ludwig who indeed died in 1948. The Connecticut SS number issued to Obama is 042-68-4425. Obama never lived in Connecticut!

Call comcast and complain about your bill being so high.
If you complain they will offer you a 12 month special and lower you bill 20-40 bucks a month.
I've done this two times.
I guess my question is , why haven't they offered this before I got pissed?
The squeeky wheel gets the grease,

Comcast is a POS!Our service has went out 5 times in April once all day and they want to charge interest on past due bills!

Comcast is terrible. The service is shaky, way over-priced, and their customer service is horrendous! If I could just speak to someone whose FIRST language is English, that would be a wonderful start. Then, when I have NO internet service, I'd appreciate the rep NOT telling me everything is fine!!!!! I am SICK of having to push buttons, unplug everything, blah blah blah when I am paying THEM for the service. THEY should be doing all this work, not me! Not to mention, my service should NOT go out at a minimum of once a month. If they didn't have a MONOPOLY on the services, maybe they would be forced to give good service all around. I hate COMCAST!

Is there anyone out there that is happy with their service from Comcast?? I would like to know how Comcast can survive when all its customers are unhappy...I would change from Comcast in a minute if I had another choice. Maybe its like how can the US survive when everyone is unhappy with our leadership...but thats something we can change. I hope. Before all our choices are gone and we are stuck with one leader, like we are stuck with one cable provider that controls what we watch and how much we pay. BTW, I just switched back to basic cable. I continue to pay the outrageous internet fee though. Have to have it for work. Please get out and vote Nov. 2 before it is too late...
