State Police Arrest Man For Calling In Bomb Threats

•Tuesday March 6, 2012 at approximately 1:00 p.m.
•Tuesday March 13, 2012 at approximately 1:06 p.m.

Defendant, Charges, and Bail Information:

•David C. Detwiler, 38, of Seaford, DE (Photo Attached)
•Terroristic Threatening (2 felony counts)

Arraigned at JP2 and committed to SCI on $6,000.00 secured bail.

Georgetown, DE- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Seaford man in connection with two bomb threats made to local schools.

David C. Detwiler, 38, of Seaford was arrested at his home Tuesday evening after Detectives were able to trace calls he made from his phone to two separate schools in Georgetown. The first incident occurred on Tuesday March 6th, around 1:00 p.m., when Detwiler is alleged to have placed a phone call to the Howard T. Ennis School stating there was a bomb in the building. Earlier today, around 1:06 p.m., a call was received at the Georgetown Elementary School stating there was a bomb in the school.

On both occasions, the schools were safely evacuated and State Police K9s were called in to search the buildings. Nothing out of the ordinary was found in either incident

Detwiler was charged with two felony counts of Terroristic Threatening which caused the evacuation of a school and was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute on $6,000.00 secured bail.
