Meanwhile, Paul Range and Gloria Haswell have enough in store to feed 22 people for 15 years — as well as enough guns, bullets and bug-out vehicles to wage a small war. The couple occupies nine steel shipping containers arranged in a castle formation outside Floresville, Texas. A system of windmills and solar panels powers the compound, and human body waste is used to generate methane, which serves as their cooking fuel.
It's all because they are worried Earth's magnetic poles might switch.
Range and Haswell are among those profiled in "Doomsday Preppers," a weekly TV documentary premiering on the National Geographic Channel tomorrow (Feb. 7) at 9 p.m., with a bonus episode at 10 p.m. following the premiere. The show takes viewers on a shocking tour of modern-day apocalypse paranoia, from Range, Haswell and their steel fortress to a Californian who has trained himself to survive off garden weeds in preparation for a major earthquake.

That's beyond extreme, they are living like it's already happened. If the earth's magnetic poles switch, I'll probably be needing a new compass. That's about it.
Who needs this when we the stories,I have learned tons.
I have a feeling that these two people just made the Homeland Security's list of "lets go f*** with somebody". EPA's list of "there's GOT to be a violation of SOMETHING" and the IRS's list of "is there somthing we haven't thought about taxing yet"? And the ATF's list of "we're the only one's allowed to have that many guns and bullets, so lets check them out". Drones will be in 24-7 surveillance now and satellites are going to be redirected. I'm sure there are hundreds of cops already planning an assault (similar to Waco, Texas, where the FBI had to kill people - set them on fire, actually -- to "protect" them). Facetious? Over the top? Maybe....maybe not.
