I used to buy GC-2 golf cart batteries at Sam's club - now I see they have changed brands yet again and now they are InterState Batteries. I really do not know what brand they have labeled as Sam's has the company mask the manufacturer. Then as far a lithium ion batteries - Craftsman labels their Craftsman - when in fact they are manufactured by Sanyo. And yet they have also changed brands yet again. So I really do not know what I'm buying.
I guess I'll stick to the energizer 9 volt batteries - as there are some of those labeled generic.
Nothing wrong with generic brand.. Just make sure you're buying alkalines and not the "Heavy Duty" type. Heavy Duty batteries aren't alkalines but are zinc-carbon, cheaper and don't last as long.
I always buy the least expensive. If you take some time and research this, you will find that overwhelmingly the studies on batteries always show that the better value for your dollar is in the generic batteries. The generics perform as well as the name brands... the exception is in the "high end" lithium ion batteries (brand name) which performed better.. but at 4 times the cost without providing 4 times the life.
Facts are hard to argue with... so I'm buying generic.

Yes, I do.
No - don't last as long as the brand name batteries.
