Only days after it was reported that Walmart was no longer going to be putting greeters on the graveyard shift comes news of a more radical change in the whole philosophy of greeters — taking them away from the entrance and moving them inside the store where they can possibly be of more help.

Hope this means that the 60 year old plus people that watch you pay for your things won't be asking to see my receipt anymore. Its so crazy to have "security " that age basically acuse you of stealing.and what the hell would that old person do when they catch a crazed doper? Piss their depends?

Where is the idiocy? The fact that every person is watched on video surveillance, roving security,watched as you check out and then asked to see a receipt when you leave? Or having senior citizens as security at the door?
Have you ever watched a crack head steal from walmart? They push fight and barrell through people to keep from getting caught to get their next fix. You may think it would be a great job for your elderly parent to have but after standing eight hours saying hello sore and tired and then possible attacked by a doper thief frantic for his freedom is no job for my elderly parent. Get a reality check!

There was just an article about an old woman who asked to see a receipt and was viciously attacked.you would think walmart would place someone more suitable to handle such situations than an older person.the truth is this is no world for the older folks to play cop/security guard.sounds like a great job for all these military folks coming home that Obama feels deserve a job over all the long term unemployed.
